More of Surrey’s residents are staying home these days to avoid the threat of COVD-19. And, in some cases, older pipes and sewage systems are having trouble keeping up with the increased demand. Since homeowners’ kitchens and bathrooms are being used more frequently, we have noticed an increased need for our plumbing services.
Although our services are in even greater demand during this time, we are aware that some homeowners may be cautious about seeking professional plumbing serviceswhile they attempt to keep their families and homes safe. If your plumbing is facing a COVID-19 crisis, or if you simply want to perform plumbing maintenance to avoid a problem in the future, don’t worry. Guru Services Group is here to help.
To alleviate your concerns about hiring a plumber during these uncertain times, here are some of the precautions we’re taking to keep our plumbers and homeowners safe and away from any threat of the virus:
While we are working with the drainage system in your home,we must assume the coronavirus is present and act accordingly. This is the case even if everyone in your home is healthy at the time of our visit.
Guru’s plumbers are required to wear personal protective equipment while in your home. This includes an N95 face mask or full-face shield, safety glasses, and gloves.
While in your home, your Guru plumber will abide by social distancing requirements, especially keeping their distance from the elderly and other people who could be more vulnerable to illness. Of course, you are welcome to ask questions and watch us work. However, we ask that you also keep your distance at the time.
Our plumbers are encouraged to wash their hands even more frequently than usual. Using soap and water, they wash their hands for at least 20 seconds each time. In addition, they keep hand sanitizer in their vehicles in case hand-washing is not always possible.
All plumbing tools are regularly cleaned and disinfected.
If a Guru plumber is showing signs or symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, new or persistent cough, shortness of breath, or unexplained fatigue, they are advised to consult with a medical professional and self-isolate for 14 days. This is also the case if they come in close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with the virus. Therefore, you can be assured that your Guru plumber is healthy while providing services in your home.
Our goal is to make you feel comfortable, safe, and confident about the quality plumbing services we provide. And COVID-19 will not compromise our high level of customer service. If you have questions or concerns, or if you want to schedule a consultation by phone, don’t hesitate to contact us.
